Today’s post is on Clarke MacArthur of the Ottawa Senators. I’m a big fan of him and really hope one day he can return to the NHL and play the game that he loves. For those who don’t know, Clarke has been battling some major injuries (concussions) through the last couple of years and last year, failed his physical before the start of the season.
Before his injuries began, Clarke was a fairly effective player, notching a career high of 62 points during his campaign with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2010/11 season. He came close to this mark in the 2013/14 season with the Ottawa Senators, tallying 55 points.
Clarke had the opportunity in Junior, to win the Memorial Cup with the Medicine Hat Tigers, in which he ranked 7th in scoring during that tournament. Unfortunately, the host team, Kelowna Rockets, had other plans and eventually went on to win the cup that year which featured NHL all star Shea Weber and coach Marc Habscheid.
Let’s hope Clarke can at least have a recovery to help him in his day to day activities and not endure the symptoms of a concussion.
