Anderson MacDonald was a fairly high pick in the QMJHL Entry Draft, going 10th overall. A few other notable players have come out of that draft, specifically Jared McIsaac, Olivier Rodrigue and Noah Dobson, all whom I’ve gotten returns from in the past. Anderson was originally drafted by the Sherbrooke Pheonix but traded a year later to the Moncton Wildcats (as seen in the autographed card).
Recently, he was acquired by the Acadie-Bathurst Titan for two draft picks, Moncton’s 3rd round pick in 2019 and a 2nd round pick, originally owned by the Remparts. So far in this short season, Anderson has no points in six games played this season. I assume that the shortened season has been due to injuries.
Anderson was NHL draft eligible in 2018 but all NHL teams passed over him. Doing a bit of research, it appears as if Anderson remains one of the top undrafted players. He was invited to Minnesota’s training camp as a free agent but was unable to attend due to injury.
Gettin’ the auto
This one was a no brainer! Usually the QMJHL teams are extremely great at forwarding mail, although top players (ie. Sidney Crosby) may refuse personally but I figure most are great signers. I had sent to players that have played on the Wildcats (although attained their personal address through other means) this past off season. Directly from the Moncton Wildcats, this was the first for me this season. Anderson returned my mail in just over 35 days.
These draft profiles likely can be utilized again in this years’ NHL Entry Draft as Anderson MacDonald went undrafted in 2018.
