A nice autograph from Canucks prospect Nicklas Jensen.  I had sent a Heros & Prospects card to Nicklas earlier this year, but was switched out for this Denny’s card.  Although not quite the card I wanted to get autographed, I’m still happy with it.  Thanks for the auto Nicklas!

Scott Laughton is going to be eligible for the 2012 entry draft which is going to be held in Pittsburgh this year.  He’s used to going high in draft picks, as he was drafted 3rd overall, only behind Brendan Gaunce and Alex Galchenyuk, in the 2012 OHL draft.  This year, he’s slated to go somewhere in the last half of the 1st round, potentially a pick up for the Vancouver Canucks.  Thanks Scott!

A pretty nice return from Boone Jenner of the Oshawa Generals.  Boone was drafted 37th overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Basing off his stats, he’ll be a decent player, averaging about a point a game player this past season.  Although the Generals only placed 8th in their conference this season, Boone was 81st overall in OHL scoring, 6th on his team.  Thanks for the auto Boone!

Short stature Christian Thomas, standing at 5’9 (well, short compared to many NHL players), has been drafted by the NY Rangers in the 2010 entry draft, going 40th overall.  As son of Steve Thomas, I’m sure some scouts looked at him due to his father’s great NHL career, but I’m positive many others looked at him because he has been among the best during his junior year in hockey based on a post-season poll by coaches.  Some of those categories included most improved, hardest shot, best shot and best stickhandler, all great qualities in a young player!

What a perfect set up from my previous blog post of potential 1st overall draft pick to the 1991, 1st overall draft pick, Eric Lindros.  Eric, as widely known, has had many, many concussions.  He was known for his large body and was able to use it to his advantage.  I really did like Eric, and the way he was able to carry himself.  All the best Eric, I hope things are looking up for ya!
