A good return from former Vancouver Giant (circa 2006) of the WHL.  JD put up some decent numbers while playing junior hockey, but so far hasn’t amounted to much.  He was drafted by the Flames in the 4th round, and has been with the Abbotsford Heat for the past few years, but was most recently (well, 2011) signed by the Manchester Monarchs.  Seems like he may never be a full time NHL player, although he’s only 25, and has plenty of time (well not a heck of a lot) to make the big leagues.

David Musil is a Vancouver Giant whom was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers going 31st overall in the 2011 entry draft.  He’s a strong defenseman, that can help a bit with the offensive side.  Through 133 games played in the WHL, he’s racked up 57 points with a +/- rating of 34.  Standing at 6’3, he could use some extra size to push over opposing forwards.  Good luck David!

Great!  An auto from former Vancouver Giant Craig Cunningham.  He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2010.  He was traded by the Giants to the Portland Winterhawks, where he soon became a fan favorite by being aggressive and showing leadership on the ice.  He was nicknamed “the hamster”.
