Curtis Lazar

Autographed, Hockey Card, TTM, Signed, Curtis Lazar, Team Canada
Autographed Upper Deck hockey card signed via TTM by Curtis Lazar of Team Canada

I’m a huge fan of Curtis Lazar and it was unfortunate that he couldn’t make it happen in Ottawa. Now that he’s a Calgary Flame, he’ll need to prove his worth as it’s clear that Ottawa didn’t believe in his future potential. He was traded in 2017, 3 years after being drafted by the Sens, along with Michael Kostka for a 2nd round pick in 2017 NHL Entry Draft (ended up being Alex Formenton) and Jyrki Jokipakka.

I’ve watched and kept an eye on Curtis Lazar for quite a few seasons.  He helped Canada win gold twice, once in 2012 in the U18s and again in 2015 at the WJC.  He ranked 6 in point scoring during the 2015 WJC’s with Team Canada where they had a strong team which included Connor McDavid, Sam Reinhart and Nicolas Petan.

Here is Curtis’ report card from Match Sticks and Gasoline

Gettin’ the auto

This Curtis Lazar autograph on Upper Deck’s Team Canada World Juniors set came to me through the Calgary Flames.  I’d have to say the Flames are one of the top teams in the league when returning fan mail.

A video review on Curtis Lazar

Lazar was a highly touted player and had shown leadership qualities in his WHL career.  Take a look at his WHL highlights with the Edmonton Oil Kings.
