Doug Gilmour is a great player that was nearly a point a game player.  Standing at only 5’11,  shorter than average nowadays, he managed to stay in the NHL for 20 years.  In 1989, he helped Calgary win the Stanley Cup, as well as winning the Selke Trophy, as the NHL’s best defensive forward in 1993 with the Maple Leafs.
