Drafted in the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft, Felix Bibeau has lived up well to his draft position. I do find that with junior hockey, it’s always hard to predict where players may end up at the end of their careers but in this case, Felix is spot on. He was selected 27th overall but currently sits 20th overall in points scored. Of course, there are many factors that run into how well a player produces, namely how well the team performs overall.
Felix is currently an undrafted NHL prospect but it’s not impossible for an NHL team to take a chance on him. While he just completed his sophomore year, he beat the “sophomore slump” by netting an additional 49 points. This year, he’s been promoted to assistant captain, a role that had been vacated by Taylor Ford this year, which presumably had to do with last season’s improvement. He’ll be supporting the team captain, Rafael-Harvey Pinard in a quest to return to the playoffs this year.
I always like to see players fight for their chance at the NHL level and I hope that Felix is no exception.
Gettin’ the auto
Another quick autograph, this time by Felix Bibeau of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. I sent mail to him early this season and he returned it quickly back to me in less than 30 days. Like most of the players in junior hockey, he obliged to signing and took one of the cards that I offered to him!
Unfortunately, there isn’t much on Felix on the Internet that’s in English!
A video review of Felix Bibeau
I apologize to anyone that happens to be watching this that is a pure English speaker like myself… but this is the only video I could find and it’s in French!
