I am very, very hopeful the Buffalo Sabres will make the playoffs this year. With the addition of first overall pick, Rasmus Dahlin and newly acquired Jeff Skinner, things are looking up. In the “Connor McDavid” sweepstakes, they landed Jack Eichel, who is no slouch of his own. Fortunately for Justin, the responsibility of the team succeeding doesn’t rely solely on his shoulders. Justin was a 2nd round, 52nd overall pick for the Sabres in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. It must have been a dream come true for Justin as he was born in Buffalo, NY.
Since that draft, Justin has bounced between the Sabres and their affiliate team, the Rochester Americans. His season was cut a bit short as he left the Amerk’s playoff finale with an injury.
It will be interesting to see if any teams pick up Justin as he’s slated to be a restricted free agent.
Gettin’ the auto
Former Kitchener Ranger, Justin Bailey, signed this hockey card for me in a fairly short turn around. I wish I had an updated card to send him but am still glad that he signed this old ITG Heroes and Prospects card. This card to him via the Buffalo Sabres and got it returned in about 3 months during the hockey season.
I actually would have gotten this card signed much earlier although I knew that Kitchener were not a very good team to send fan mail to. The plan is to try again this year to see if things have changed at all.
Below is an interesting article about Justin Bailey!
