It’s been a while since I’ve showcased a non-NHL goaltender! Kyle Jessiman is currently a member of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar having been recently traded during the offseason. He played two solid seasons for the Screaming Eagles where he played roughly 40 games a season.
At this point in his career, I don’t believe he’s been drafted into the NHL. As we all know, it’s definitely not impossible for players to overcome the fact that NHL teams overlook them during their draft season. There have been a few starting goaltenders that have gone on to very successful NHL careers such as Eddie Belfour, Curtis Joseph and Antti Niemi.
I don’t often get to catch CHL games since they’re not typically televised in my area although I’d love to hear any feedback / scouting reports on Kyle!
Gettin’ the auto
I believe this is my first autograph on a Cape Breton Screaming Eagles card, this one depicting Kyle Jessiman. The funny thing is that this wasn’t sent to the Screaming Eagles, it was sent to Baie-Comeau Drakkar and am still yet to even send a card to the team. I did send to Mitchell Balmas, although that was through a private address. This card was returned back to me in 23 days.
It’s a little hard to find information on goaltender Kyle Jessiman but these two links will have to do!

Great recap of the Eagle’s 2015 Draft, where they ended up selecting Shane Bowers with their first pick.
