I got this gem of a card signed, luckily in a nice blue sharpie by Michel Goulet. It’s actually a great spot to where he signed, as his autograph makes it visible whereas if he used a black marker, I feel that it wouldn’t be as eye catching. I’ve long supported the Artifacts hockey card set for their cards which are usually non-glossy (no prep!) and ability for players to sign, so they choose, just below their players’ portrait.
I wasn’t lucky enough to have watched Michel in his prime, as he retired from the game in 1994, his last season and when I first started watching hockey. He played for only two teams in his entire career, clearly the Quebec Nordiques and for the Chicago Blackhawks later in his career. He is part of an exclusive club, hitting 1000 points in his career, the 30th player at the time to have achieved such a feat. Most recently, Daniel Sedin had hit that mark in 1251 games where it took Michel less games to hit that same mark as he played only 1089 games in his NHL career.
