Nathan Dunkley, formerly a Front, is now with the London Knights. He was traded to the Knights at the beginning of 2018 along with two draft picks for Cliff Pu. Obviously, that was a play by the Frontenacs to push themselves deep into the playoffs as they also traded for Max Jones, Sean Day and Gabriel Valardi. As we all know, the Fronts lost in the semi-finals to the eventual OHL champions, the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Well, now that Nathan is with the London Knights, they’re putting together a great season. They’ve clinched a playoff spot with Nathan helping lead the charge. He’s currently third on the team in scoring. Although Nathan was available during the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, he was passed on by all teams. He’ll obviously be available during this 2019 draft and will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Gettin’ the auto
This autograph was received from Nathan Dunkley via the London Knights. I sent this card of him shown with a Kingston Frontenacs jersey and received it back in 17 days. I’m glad that in the CHL, players aren’t opposed to signing cards with their former teams. I have read scenarios where certain NHL players have refused either from scenarios where they have a bad relationship with that team or believe they’ll have their autograph sold online.
Nathan went undrafted in the 2018 draft, even though he was ranked to be drafted in the middle of the draft.
