The San Jose Sharks have a great prospect in Noah Gregor whom they drafted into the NHL in 2016. Over the past year, he’s worn three different jerseys, reporting to Moose Jaw, Victoria Royals and now the Prince Albert Raiders. He was traded to the Victoria Royals for their playoff push last season. Unfortunately, they ended up exiting during the second round in a sweep to the Amerks. During this past offseason, he was exchanged for conditional compensation to the Raiders.
Hopefully for Noah, he has a full season this year with the Prince Albert Raiders who are performing spectacularly! For much of the season, the team has been atop the WHL standings and consistently been in the CHL Power Rankings. With goaltender, Ian Scott, manning the net and Brett Leason scoring at a torrid pace, it’s no wonder the team is doing so well. Right now, Noah sits second in team scoring, ahead of Cole Fonstad and Parker Kelly, both of which I got autographs last year.
I can’t imagine with the scoring on this team that they don’t go deep into the WHL playoffs and compete for the Memorial Cup in Halifax this year. All the best to you, Noah!
Gettin’ the auto
While this CHL Upper Deck shows Noah in a Moose Jaw uniform, I actually sent to him to sign through the Raiders. I’m happy he signed the card in a blue sharpie since it looks great against his white jersey. He signed my hockey card in just over two weeks which is fantastic! He sent back all four cards that I had passed his way.
Usually 4th round picks don’t make the NHL but we’ll see if Noah can make it to the NHL in a few years.
